Lead Source Expenses Report

The Recruiting platform's Lead Source Expenses Report provides a monthly breakdown of spending and Recruiter engagement across your lead sources. It shows how much was invested into each lead Source and how many Recruits were generated. This helps teams evaluate the cost-effectiveness of each source and decide where to allocate recruiting budgets.

Filtering the Report

There are several filtering options available at the top of the report allowing you to view the exact data you're looking for.

  • Scope Adjustment: Only Team data is viewable in this report as Lead Source Expenses are not tied to individual Recruiters.

  • Lead Source: Select to filter the report by all Lead Sources, a specific Lead Source or multiple by checking the boxes.

  • Predefined Date Ranges: Quickly view date ranges such as Last Month, This Year, Q4, etc. with just one click.

  • Custom Date Range: This report uses “Monthly” data so the date range options have been restricted to include whole month increments.

Understanding the Report Data

The By Month section at the top of the report provides a breakdown of each individual month included in the date range selected in the scope at the top of the report.

A total for Expenses and a total for Leads are provided for each month.

  • Expenses: This amount is calculated by totaling the amount entered into the Expense field in Admin > Lead Sources > Counts & Expenses for each Lead Source selected in the scope at the top of the report.

  • Leads: This amount is calculated by totaling the numbers entered into the Total Lead Count field in Admin > Lead Sources > Counts & Expenses for each Lead Source selected in the scope at the top of the report.

Each month can be collapsed or expanded, allowing you to view individual month breakdowns one at a time or multiple months to compare.

  • Lead Source: The name of the individual Lead Source.

  • Expenses: The amount entered in the Expense field in Admin > Lead Sources > Counts & Expenses for the Lead Source.

  • % of Monthly Expenses: The percentage of the team's total monthly Expenses allocated to this Lead Source.

  • Leads: The number entered in the Total Lead Count field in Admin > Lead Sources > Counts & Expenses.

  • % of Monthly Leads: The percentage of the team's total monthly leads that originated from this Lead Source.

  • At Bats: The total number of At Bats assigned to Recruiters, as entered in the At Bat fields under Admin > Lead Sources > Counts & Expenses. Since a single lead may be distributed to multiple Recruiters, the At Bats count may differ from the total Lead count.

Additionally, At Bat totals are broken down each month by Recruiter. Aligned with the Recruiter name, you'll see a total of opportunities the Recruiter received, known as At Bats, and the percentage of all At Bats that were distributed to that Recruiter.

Below the By Month section is the Summary section of the report. This section provides totaled metrics for each individual Lead Source calculated based on the date range selected in the scope at the top of the report.

  • Lead Source: The name of the individual Lead Source.

  • Expenses: The amount entered in the Expense field in Admin > Lead Sources > Counts & Expenses for the Lead Source. Each month, selected in the date range scope at the top of the report, is included in this total.

  • % of Total Expenses: The percentage of the team's total Expenses allocated to this specific Lead Source for the selected date range selected at the top of the report.

  • Leads: The number entered in the Total Lead Count field in Admin > Lead Sources > Counts & Expenses for the Lead Source. Each month, selected in the date range scope at the top of the report, is included in this total.

  • % of Total Leads: The percentage of the team's total Leads received from this specific Lead Source for the selected date range selected at the top of the report.
