This article walks you through everything you need to know to successfully connect BoomTown with Sisu; from required prerequisites to configuration options and best practices for ongoing success.

Topics in this article:

Required Prerequisites

⚠️ It is essential that all prerequisites below are completed before turning on the BoomTown integration. Skipping these steps can result in missing or incorrect data.

  1. Contact Sisu If You Use Multiple BoomTown Websites

    • If your BoomTown account includes multiple websites, please contact Sisu Support before enabling the integration. This setup requires a two-step configuration process with assistance from our team.

    • If you’re unsure whether you have multiple websites, check for a website drop-down selector in your BoomTown account.

  2. Confirm You’re on the Correct BoomTown Plan

    • The Sisu–BoomTown integration is included at no additional cost for teams on BoomTown Grow or Advanced plans. To verify your plan:

      • Open your BoomTown profile drop-down

      • Select Integrations

      • Look for Sisu at the top of the Integrations Center

      • If Sisu does not appear, you are likely on a Launch or Core plan and will need to pay a small integration access fee. Contact your BoomTown account executive to add access.

  3. Disable Other Third-Party Integrations

    • If you are currently syncing BoomTown and Sisu using a third-party service (such as Real Synch, API Nation, or Zapier), that integration must be disabled before enabling the native Sisu integration.

  4. Match BoomTown Users with Sisu Users

    • BoomTown users must match Sisu users by name or email address. If a BoomTown user cannot be mapped to a Sisu user, their actions will not sync and will not count toward Sisu activities or transactions.

Key Strategies for Success

The following strategies will help ensure a smooth setup and prevent common issues once the BoomTown integration is enabled.

  1. Confirm Your Team Timezone

    • All synced activities and logged dates are based on your team timezone settings in Sisu. Before enabling the integration, verify that your timezone is set correctly. This can be completed by navigating to Admin > Team Settings > Profile.

  2. Ensure Your Team Understands Your Configuration

    • Your configuration settings determine:

      • Which BoomTown actions create Sisu activities

      • When transactions are created or updated

      • How lead category changes impact Sisu data

    • Admins, team leaders, and agents should all understand these triggers before the integration goes live.

Once all prerequisites are complete, follow the steps below to enable the integration.
