Creating a Loop in Sisu

Written by Kayla Latta

This article explains how to create and manage Dotloop Loops directly from a Sisu transaction. You’ll learn how to create a new Loop, generate a new Loop from a transaction that’s already linked, apply Loop templates during creation, and quickly open your Loop from within Sisu. This guide also includes a complete reference of Sisu fields that map to Dotloop fields when a Loop is created.

Topics in this article:

Creating a New Loop from a Sisu Transaction

Follow these steps to create a Loop from a transaction that does not have a Loop linked to it.

  1. Navigate to the Transaction Page and click on a transaction to open it.

  2. Ensure the following form fields are completed:

    • Agent

    • Transaction Type

    • First Name

    • Last Name

  3. From the form scope, select Dotloop Integration Info.

  4. On the right side of the transaction, click the Create Loop button.

  5. In Dotloop, refresh the page to see your new loop appear. This loop is linked to the Sisu transaction.

ℹ️ Note: For a list of what syncs from Sisu to Dotloop, see the All Loop Fields Mapped to Sisu Fields section in this article.

Creating a New Loop from a Transaction That's Already Linked to a Loop

If you have a transaction that is currently linked to a Loop, you can unlink the transaction and create a new Loop after making some changes. This is helpful, for example, when you want to create a new Loop for a new written offer.

  1. Navigate to the Transaction Page and click on a transaction to open it.

  2. From the form scope, select Dotloop Integration Info.

ℹ️ Note: After the transaction opens, you can be sure that the transaction is linked if you see the "Create New Loop" button on the right.

  3. Click the Create New Loop button.

  4. In Dotloop, refresh the page to see your new loop appear. The new Loop contains all the most recent updates to the Sisu transaction, while the old Loop remains the same.

ℹ️ Note: For a list of what syncs from Sisu to Dotloop, see the All Loop Fields Mapped to Sisu Fields section in this article.

Creating a Loop with a Template Applied

If you'd prefer to watch a short video of the process outlined in this section, click here. 🎬 Otherwise, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Transaction Page and click on a transaction to open it.

  2. From the form scope, select Dotloop Integration Info.

  3. Click the Tags field and select the template you want to use from the list.

ℹ️ Note: We create a tag for each of your Loop templates. If you don't see any Loop template tags, your team is not using Loop templates.

  4. Click Update.

  5. On the right side of the transaction, click the Create Loop button.

ℹ️ Note: If the transaction is already linked to a loop, the button will say "Create New Loop." In this case, clicking the button will unlink the transaction from the current loop and create a new loop.

  6. In Dotloop, refresh the page to see your new loop. All tasks and documents associated with the template are applied.

All Loop Fields Mapped to Sisu Fields

When you create a new Loop from Sisu, the Sisu transaction and new Loop are linked, and information is pulled from Sisu into Dotloop in order to fill in Loop details. This section shows which Sisu fields send over information to Dotloop fields.

⚠️ *IMPORTANT*: After the Loop is created, the connection between Sisu and Dotloop allows you to pull documents from Dotloop into Sisu. But at this time it does not allow for data to pass between Dotloop and Sisu after the Loop is created.
