SisuSign | Creating New Templates

Uploading Your Document To Create A Template

To access SisuSign and create your templates, navigate to Admin > SisuSign > Esign Templates.

From here, click the Add New Template button.

In the Add New Esign Template pop-up fill out the following required fields:

  • Add Document: Click the Choose File button to select the document you'd like to use for an Esign template.

  • Template Name: Enter a name that best suits this Esign template.

  • Transaction Type:

    • All: The template will be available for buyer and seller type transactions.

    • Buyer: The template will only be available for buyer type transactions.

    • Seller: The template will only be available for seller type transactions.

  • Default Document Type: Make a selection from your pre-defined Document Types. For information on how to create these, check out this KB article. πŸ“™

  • Default Storage Folder: Make a selection from your pre-defined Document Folders. For information on how to create these, check out this KB article. πŸ“™

  • Signees: Check the box to the left of who will need to sign this document.

Review your selections then click the Create Template button.

From here, click the Edit button to the right of the template you just created to continue setting up your document.


Adding Multiple Signing Parties

When editing a template, in the upper, right hand corner you'll see "First Party". This is where you can add and edit signing parties. To add an additional signing party follow the steps below:

  1. Click the + button to the right of First Party.

  2. In the dropdown menu, select Add Second Party.

  3. Continue these above steps to add additional signing parties.

  4. Click the Save button in the top right corner to save your changes.

Editing Signing Party Names

You can update the names of the signing parties by following these steps:

  1. Click the + button to the right of the currently selected signing party.

  2. From the dropdown, select the signing party you'd like to edit.

  3. Hover over the signing party's name and click the pencil icon.

  4. Type in the desired name.

  5. Click anywhere or press enter on your keyboard to complete the update.

  6. Click the Save button in the top right corner to save your changes

Removing A Signing Party

To remove a signing party, follow these steps:

  1. Click the + button to the right of the currently selected signing party.

  2. In the dropdown, hover over the signing party you want to remove.

  3. Click the trash can icon that appears to the right of the name.

  4. Confirm the deletion of the signing party.

  5. Click the Save button in the top right corner to save your changes.

Changing The Order Of Signing Parties

To change the order of your signing parties, follow these steps:

  1. Click the + button to the right of the currently selected signing party.

  2. In the dropdown, hover over the signing party you want to move.

  3. Click the vertical arrows icon to move the signer up or down as needed.

  4. Click the Save button in the top right corner to save your changes.


Inserting Auto-Populating Form Fields

With SisuSign, you can add form fields to your templates that automatically populate with data from your transaction forms.

Finding Fields

All available fields can be found to the right of the template when in edit mode. Utilize the search bar to quickly search and find fields or scroll through the list of available fields.

Inserting Fields

To insert a field into your document, easily click, drag and drop the field into your document.

Resizing Fields

You can resize the field by clicking and dragging the bottom, right corner of the box to adjust its size.

Field Color & Signing Party Assignment

The field color indicates which Signing Party will be able to fill out this field. To change the Signing Party associated with the field, click the field, then click the colored dot. From the dropdown menu, select the Signing Party who should complete the field.

Customizing Fields

As fields are inserted into the template they will appear under the Signing Party on the right hand side. You can hover over each field and select to customize the field by clicking the settings icon. You can also delete the field by selecting the trash can icon. Inserting Free-Text Fields

When editing a template, you can insert various types of free-text fields the Signing Party can complete. These fields are not tied to form fields within your Sisu transactions.

Free-Text Field Types

  • Text: Use this field to allow the Signing Party to enter any text freely.

  • Signature: Use this field to capture the Signing Party's signature.

  • Initials: Use this field to capture the Signing Party's initials.

  • Checkbox: Use this field to allow the Signing Party to select one or several options from the provided list.

  • Select: Use this field to allow the Signing Party to select 1 option from a predefined list of options.

  • Radio: Use this field to allow the Signing Party to select one or several options from the provided list.

  • Multiple: Use this field to allow the Signing Party to select more than 1 option from a predefined list of options.

  • Number: Use this field to capture a number entered by the Signing Party.

  • Phone: Use this field to capture a phone number entered by the Signing Party.

  • Date: Use this field to capture a date entered by the Signing Party.

Inserting Free-Text Fields

From the free-text fields section on the right, select which type of field you'd like to insert. Click, drag and drop the field to your desired location on the template. You can resize the field by clicking and dragging the bottom, right corner of the box to adjust its size.
