Tasks help you track key steps and stay on top of transaction progress. You can add task lists, create one-off tasks, remove tasks, or update multiple tasks at once all from within a transaction.

Topics in this article:

Assigning a Task List to a Transaction

If you haven’t set up an automatic trigger for a Task List, or if you need to assign one before a trigger occurs, you can manually add a Task List to a transaction at any time. Follow the steps below to add a Task List manually.

  1. Navigate to the Transaction Page and click on a transaction to open it.

  2. In the top transaction toolbar, click Tasks.

  3. On the right side of the screen, click the Add Task Lists button.

  4. In the pop-up, select the Task List (or Lists) you want to assign to the transaction.

  5. Click the Add Selected Lists button.

The Task List and all associated tasks are now added to the transaction.

Removing a Task List from a Transaction

Task Lists that are not relevant to a transaction can be removed at any time. Removing a Task List from a transaction will not delete it in Admin > Tasks.

If you wish to remove a Task List that's been added to a transaction, follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to the Transaction Page and click on a transaction to open it.

  2. In the top transaction toolbar, click Tasks.

  3. On the left side of the screen, select the Task List from the List scope.

  4. Click the trash icon to remove the Task List from the transaction.

Adding a One-Off Task to a Transaction

Users can add individual, one-off Tasks directly to a transaction’s Task List. These tasks are transaction-specific and are not added to the master task list found under Admin > Tasks.

Follow the steps below to add a one-off Task to a transaction:

  1. Navigate to the Transaction Page and click on a transaction to open it.

  2. In the top transaction toolbar, click Tasks.

  3. On the right side of the screen, click the Add Task button.

  4. Complete the task details, then click Create to add a single task, or Create & Add Another to add the task and immediately begin creating another.
