Topics in this article:

Setting Your Team's Delivery Window

This section can be found by navigating to Admin > Team Settings > Profile.

This is where you'll select your delivery window for Task Notifications. The hours selected here will dictate when task notifications send. If the Task Notification is triggered outside of your delivery window it will send at the start of the next delivery window.

🔸 Example: If your delivery window is set for standard business hours, 8am to 5pm, and a Task Notification is triggered on a transaction at 10pm the Notification will not send until 8am the following day.

Selecting Blackout Days

This section can be found by navigating to Admin > Team Settings > Notifications.

Blackout Days are dates that are an exception to your notification window, which means that Task Notifications won't be sent on these dates. You can select specific holidays or days of the week.

You can create your own Custom Blackout Dates as well by clicking the Add New button.

🔸 Note: If you don't want an individual Notification to send on weekends you can simply check the "Adhere to Business Hours" checkbox upon creating/editing. Find more info here.

Daily Task Reminder

The Daily Task Reminder only pertains to assigned tasks. Enable this setting if you'd like users on your team to receive a reminder email every day they have tasks due/overdue.

Due dates on Task Notifications that adhere to business hours display the day the Notification will send based on the team's selected “Blackout Days". When a due date has been adjusted due to Blackout Days an asterisk will be visible along side the due date. You can hover over the date and a pop up appears letting you know the “Date changed due to Black out dates”.

Customizing Sending Within Your Task Notifications

Adhere To Business Hours

Your individual Task Notifications can be selected to Adhere to Business Hours. This means you can ensure they only send during your specified delivery window.

Checking/unchecking the Adhere To Business Hours checkbox can be done within an individual Task Notification, whether you are creating new or editing an existing. This can be found by navigating to Admin > Tasks > Edit Tasks.

Auto-Send

The Auto-Send toggle allows you to decide if a Task Notification should be automatically sent by the system or if it should only be sent manually by a user on your team. You can toggle this on and off when creating new Task Notifications as well as editing existing Task Notifications. This can be done by navigating to Admin > Tasks > Edit Tasks.

  • Click to send: This selection will disable the Notification from automatically sending and the Notification will only send when manually pushed by a user. Manual sending can be done within the Transaction's Tasks or from the Send Queue.

  • Auto-send: The default selection on any existing Task Notifications. Also the default selection when creating a new Task Notification.

More information on setting up Tasks can be found in these KB articles.
